About Us - Statement of Faith

We believe that there is only one true and living God, the creator and sustainer of all things.  God is a spiritual being, without body, parts or passions.  God is uniquely holy and triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; each is co-equal, co-eternal and co-sovereign.  God is perfect in His character, perfect in His judgments and infinite in all His attributes.
Genesis 1-2, 1 Chronicles 29:10-17, John 1:1-18

We believe that there is one Savior of humankind, Jesus the Christ.  He is the only begotten Son of the Father, born of the Virgin Mary, 100% human and 100% divine.
By his sacrificial death on Calvary’s cross Jesus paid the price sufficient to redeem for all humans from sin: original (because of condition) and actual (because of choices).  After actually dying and literally rising to life, He now sits at the right hand of the Father interceding on behalf of those who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior.
Luke 1:26-45, 2:1-20, 24, 1 Corinthians 15, Philippians 2: 6-11

We believe that the Holy Spirit is our Comforter during the physical absence of Jesus.  He is the third person of the Godhead and remains active in the world calling the lost to faith and is imparted to the believer at the moment of faith.  He is our constant companion, counselor, inspiration and teacher.
John 14:15-20, 16:7-11, Romans 8:26-27

We believe that humanity is God’s greatest creation, made for His glory and tasked with exercising dominion over God’s creation.  God’s tri-unity is reflected in the fact that humans are mind (consciousness), body (physical) and spirit (eternal).  Because of sin, human bodies are cursed to die.  While the body and the mind will die, the soul, because it is eternal, continues.  When Jesus returns, believers will reign with Him forever.  Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 2:7, Genesis 3, Psalm 8, Hebrews 9:27-28, Revelation 22:7-21

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ and the community of baptized believers.  There is only one Church and she, being the bride of Christ, has been granted access to the throne of grace, authority to display His power, exercise His authority and continue His work.  The church is tasked with following the Apostles teachings, spreading the Gospel, caring and praying for and holding each other accountable, strengthening believers and developing disciples.
Acts 2:40-4; Romans 6:3-4, 10:9-10; Ephesians 5:22-27; Matthew 16:18-19, 28:16-20

We believe that sin is the willful disobedience to the will and word of God.  All humans are imperfect and none of us is able to live a sinless life or restore ourselves to a righteousness life.  Eternal redemption is the result of forgiveness and forgiveness is obtained by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.  The sacrifice by Jesus is the only acceptable atonement for all human sin.
Romans 3: 21-26, 5:1-11; 1 Corinthians 15: 50-58; 1 John 1:8-10

We believe that the bible is the Word of God: Holy as to nature; Revelatory as to purpose; Inspired by God through prophets and apostles as to authorship; Universal as to application; Complete and Truthful as to content; Personal and Collective as to edification and Primary and Authoritative for all our doctrines and beliefs.
Psalm 119; 2 Timothy 2:15, 3:16-17

We believe that in exchange for the promises the believer of joy, victory and peace we, as individual believers and the as the Church, are called to employ our spiritual giftedness to build and expand the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 28:19-20, John 10:10, Romans 8:37, 15:13, Philippians 4: 8-9,
