Rev. John T. Long, III
The Reverend John T. Long, III came to Tubman-King on September 1, 1994 as Senior Pastor.  Although he grew up as an Episcopalian, it was while he was in process to become an Episcopal priest that God led him to join the United Church of Christ.  Under his leadership Tubman-King has grown both spiritually and numerically.  Upon his arrival he immediately became involved in Daytona Beach community affairs.  His vita includes service on several governmental committees, social service agency boards and denominational committees.  Pastor Long has served as an Adjunct Professor at Bethune-Cookman College (now University) and was one of the founding pastors of a thriving community-based empowerment and action organization.
